On a more sober note, R.I.P. Six

Moving from insects to arachnids... in Mony universe we're on death watch. Is my son's 14 year-old tarantula dead, or just molting? I have been fooled before, twice, the fact of which my son reminded me last night when I called to break the news to him. The only advice he could give me was not to do anything about the Last Rites in the Pet Sematary for a few days (I will be going out of town, so that gives her time to do her thing, should she still be alive). Note: This is a Chilean Rose Tarantula which has a life expectancy of twenty to thirty years, a fact of which I was unaware when I agreed to buy her for my son's ninth birthday.

hmmm. I'd go with the waiting, also. I don't know much about them, aside from what I've seen of Six. did anything change in her little world, temp wise or light, or anything?

as usual mostly ignored, except the occasional watering and headcounting and feeding of the crickets
