Ready for the flood

I am ready to hear what Olsen and Louris have made for us, music-wise. The former leading members of the defunct Jayhawks have kissed, made up and have been writing and recording together, purportedly for the release of new work on a cd entitled Ready for the Flood, this September. Precious nineteen-nineties memories those guys can evoke, at the first strike of a chord of any former work. I can affirm this is also true for so many of my tribe, present and former, including kids, sister, friends. Even if I did once hear them over the Musak at the grocery store...sniff. Even if I do know they split over money philosophies. Even if I do not respect the hard work Louris did running the band into the ground after they split. Would it not be so sweet if they showed up at the Americana conference, or started touring this fall? Sweet for mony...
