Fay

reports are in from Jacksonville and Tallahassee in Jacksonville, my sister reports eighteen inches of water in her street, a short power outage and three days off work, but still able to stay in the house as of Friday SKD worked at the Jacksonville Fire Department, logging calls, and reported he barely got a break all day he stayed home on Friday Also, on Friday afternoon, EAD had a tree fall into her house, puncture the roof and a limb come through a window an hour and a half after the main waves of rain and wind hit Tallahassee she was on the computer when the limb crashed through a window, past an air conditioning unit in the same room--her cat went into hiding for a day we haven't heard from CCR in Flagler Beach. hope they evacuated. I did read that A1A had six inches of sand over it, which means that their groundfloor apartment was under a few feet of water during the day and a half Fay hovered over them, dumping twenty or so inches of rain. I will be very surprised if they stay there after this, the third hurricane to hit them in six years.

yeah, well we don't really know what's happening in Baghdad, much less Balad, either so don't feel bad.
